There is no problem.

We've kept:
(not all of these games are great but there are people who like these games)
the Fable series
the Left 4 Dead series
the Halo series
the Gears Of War series
the Viva Pinata series (you may laugh but this can pull in kids)
the Crackdown series
the Forza series
the Project Gotham Racing series
the Alan Wake series
the Kingdom Under Fire series
the Ninety Nine Nights series
the Divinity series

A lot of original titles which ps3 got/is getting the sequel but not the original:

Saints Row
Dead Rising
Frontlines
Mass Effect

And there are games that have as of yet, not been continued:
RacePro
Banjo Kazooie
Perfect Dark Zero
Splinter Cell Conviction
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Kameo

And loads of arcade titles which are actually amazing.

The thread was about exclusives, some of those games aren't exclusive.

Microsoft needs more First Party devs, or at least needs to publish more games so they will remain true Exclusives.

Sorry, I thought this was in the context of ps3 vs 360. Not 360 vs pc.

Agreed, with BBC. Firstly, Peter himself called Fable II "rubish", which shows how great that game was, L4D is not exclusive, Viva Pinata is nothing to brag about (When I list Nintendo franchises to show they have plenty of hardcore games, I don't list "Wii..." titles), Crackdown 2 was Crackdown 1.1 pretty much, Project Gotham is rendered useless by Forza IMO, Alan Wake is not really a series, since there's only been one game on the 360, Kingdom Under Fire was butchered, N3 came out and flopped, and I've never even heard of the Divinity series (which btw, has a 60 somethin on Metacritic), Banjo, LO, Kameo, Perfect Dark, RacePro will most likely not be continued, and Splinter Cell is not exclusive, Dead Rising is nothing to brag about due to Dead Rising 2, Mass Effect is not exclusive, Saint Row is nothing to brag about due to Saints Row 2.....etc.

Halo, Gears, Forza, and I GUESS Fable, YES. All that other stuff, er, NO!

right..... Those 3 games may be crap but in case you didn't notice it shows
Microsoft is getting exclusive support, if MS cut a deal with those companies which make the games perhaps we may see some decent exclusive ips from them. Laugh all you like.

Shoke, Lol peter is a marketting whore. Fable 2s peak time is over. Everyone knows it was an awesome game! It was practically AAA. He says that to make people think, "well if fable 2, a good game is rubbish compared to 3 then 3 must be amazing". So yeah...

Everytime you say a game isn't exclusive I just facepalm and
move to the next game. Keep in mind I wrote this in consideration that ps3 does
not get any of these titles.

Crackdown 2 is as different to crackdown 1 as resistance was different to resistance 2. Improvements
and drawbacks.

Pgr is a racing title. Forza is a sim.

Alan Wake, a sequel is practically confirmed

all these games you say won't be continued...
That's not the point. Microsoft have these at their disposal, I don't know why they're not getting us any more
of these titles but I'm sure they could get rare or whatever studio to whip up a sequel.

Mass effect nothing to brag about!? Lmao firstly you've proven all those MLB games useless (but they were all identicle anyway so nvm) and also you've said something ridiculous! Mass effect 1 is amazing. It's arguably better than the second! Just because a game has a sequel, it's not necessarily better. Look
at the Sony side, most of the guys say GOW2 > GOW 3 and Resistance1 > Resistance 2.

Also Alan Wake is awesome.

You are using Metacritic and you discredit Fable? The game in which the first is an 85 and the second 89? PGR is an arcade racer, Forza is a sim racer. It's like saying all other racing games are rendered pointless because of Forza and GT. I'm not sure what you mean by "butchered" but Kingdom Under Fire 2 is still in development. Newest Banjo came out in 2008, remake of Perfect Dark this year, they could easily be continued. Viva Pinata was great, and it's unique. It's AA on metacritic.

Waaaait a minute...you think Microsoft would invest money into developers that have proven themselves to be mediocre developers? And even go as far as to have them make a NEW IP? Yes, I will laugh, because your wishful thinking wouldn't benefit Microsoft or gamers. XD But hey, if you want "WUN MIRRION TRUWPS" to make you a new IP, YOU pay them. XD

It seems like the PS3 is getting a lot of new games. Hopefully some of those games (the ones that are not owned by Sony) go to the 360 as well.

I kind of have no doubt FFXIV and Agent will come to the X360, especially when no exclusivity deal was announced/mentioned.

What games on the PS3 aren't owned by Sony? Everything that's coming out exclusively on the PS3 is owned by Sony, unless I'm forgetting something. Sony is secure because they are smart and own all of their properties. Microsoft owns a few of their properties, but a lot of their games are just paid, by Microsoft, to be exclusives for a set amount of time.

Some of the big hits on the PS3 are not Sony published. Like MGS4. And others that are coming out like FFXIV (PS3/PC console exclusive), and The Agent by Rockstar.

I agree, but Microsoft has plenty of IPs...I think they just lack 1st party development studios (they have like what? 5 or 6?). They own like 40 game IPs but they only have enough developers to continue maybe 4 or 5 of those series (Forza, Halo, Fable, Crackdown).

lmao at the wun mirrion twuwps bit xD
but anyway, yeah I guess you have a point... There's no reason ms would invest in them. But still, they are continuously making xbox exclusives and should they ever make more decent titles then yeah, microsoft have them at their disposal.

Oh and you may laugh at Divinitys rating and just treat it like a mediocre game, but remember White Knight Chronicles? I think I've made my point.

White Knight Chronicles, is pretty average. Everyone knew that when Famistu gave it all 7's, but the sequel got 8,9,8,8 and not only that, but White Knight Chronicles 2 will have the first game on the same disc, so that if you purchase the sequel, and haven't played the first, you can do so on the same disc & then move on to the second. TWO games for the price of ONE.

You don't get it.

White knight Chronicles was loved by gamers. Ps3 gamers went crazy over it. But it recieved only a 64 rating.

Divinity recieved a low rating perhaps for similar reasons.

All I know is that it's a good rpg, just with some annoyances like the extremely punishing difficulty that put people off.

Did you read the reviews for both games? White Knight Chronicles suffered from something that many JRPGs suffer from this generation, annoying battle system & bad story telling/bad story. Divinity II is a sequel to a 2002 game, and it suffered from bad framerates, graphics looking bad while in motion, glitches so bad that they can make EXITS disappear (causing players to have to re open their save file & in many cases it did not fix the problem), horrific animations, lame story, there is no counter indicating how long you have to wait until a skill is usable again so the game is contantly telling you "That skill is not yet ready", enemies that get hit by arrows fly across the map as if hit by a wrecking ball, and much more.

Divinity II suffered from much more problems than White Knight Chronicles, but it managed to only get two points lower, on Metacritic, than White Knight Chronicles. White Knight Chronicles didnt score low for "similar reasons", in fact, according to the written reviews, it has a lot less problems than Divinity, its just that its a PS3 Exclusive & a JRPG so it received a bit more scrutiny.
