XBOX Republic's XBOX 360 Game of the Year 2010 [VOTE NOW!]

So now that it's the new year. I think it's time to reflect on 2010 for the XBOX 360. Vote for your XBOX 360 Game of the Year for 2010 and give a brief explanation why.
NOTE: This is not just XBOX exclusives. It include all games playable on XBOX 360. I think I included what most people are going to vote for. If there's anymore games, tell me. I'll leaving voting open for a week or so.

For me, the GOTY is Halo Reach.
I was into the original Halo all the way back when it was first released in 2001. Reach is the culmination of everything that Bungie has learned building this franchise for the last 10 years. It is their final swansong to Halo before handing the reins to 343 Industries and they have created the best Halo yet. From a campaign that never drops down, an epic soundtrack by the master and one of the most addictive and balanced mulltiplayers on XBOX Live, it is the perfect package and a great way to end 10 years of brilliance.

Alan Wake.

The game blew my mind.

I see it as a sign of video games maturing which is something I'm really excited to see.

I have to agree with everything you said but I chose Alan Wake.
Why?
Because to me, Halo Reach was just a refined version of every Halo before it. I mean, I honestly could not get into the campaign. Yes it's deserving of game of the year and the multiplayer is absolutely beast but Alan Wake felt refreshing and exciting to me and it presented a whole new aspect of gaming's story telling, the way you can know what's about to happen. It's amazing.

Mass Effect 2, I could say deserves goty tbh but it felt like a step down from Mass Effect 1 in many ways...

So I'd say
1.Reach
2.Mass Effect
3.Alan Wake (or Heavy Rain if we include ps3)

But still, I preferred Alan Wake to all these games.

I agree with everything you said as well. But the reason I chose Reach was because I've been a Halo fan for about 10 years now and there is a lot of fan service in Reach.

dang its a hard one. i guess it goes like this:

1. Halo: Reach

2. Fable 3

3. Alan Wake

Halo Reach

Long campaign with matchmaking and provides some nice backstory

Firefight with matchmaking

Multiplayer with so many modes

Forge world

Community features like video sharing and map sharing

In all honesty, this game is a complete package, and thats why its my GOTY
